An update on the progress of the Northern Ohio AI Center of Excellence, as shared in our December 2024 newsletter:

OhioX AI Summit

On November 20, John Paganini and Larry Voyten represented the AI Center of Excellence at the OhioX AI Summit in Columbus, where they sponsored a table to highlight the initiative. The feedback from attendees was positive, with many expressing interest in contributing to the AI CoE’s mission. This is a testament to the growing momentum and recognition of Northeast Ohio as a hub for AI-driven healthcare innovation.

Committee Growth and Participation

Our committee continues to expand, now with over 40 members, including 10 Northern Ohio HIMSS steering committee members. We’re thrilled to welcome Matthew LeJeune, who has generously volunteered to assist with committee administrative responsibilities. Thank you, Matthew, for your dedication and support!

Upcoming Meetings

To maintain our progress, an internal committee meeting will be held in early January, followed by a full committee meeting approximately a week or so later. These meetings will help us set the stage for 2024, refine our objectives, and continue fostering collaboration among our members.
