Meet HIMSS Northern Ohio Chapter President Kevin Tambascio

Kevin currently is the Director of Cybersecurity Data & Application Protection at Cleveland Clinic. Kevin’s team is responsible for the protection of our data and applications employed in all Cleveland Clinic health care delivery facilities. Prior to this role, Kevin was the Manager of Cybersecurity IT/OT Attack Surface Reduction at Cleveland Clinic, where his team drove improvements by continuously validating the organization’s defensive resiliency.

Before joining Cleveland Clinic, Kevin had eight years of experience in key cybersecurity roles at Rockwell Automation, an industrial controls systems vendor, and Keyfactor, a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) firm. Prior to joining the cybersecurity industry, Kevin spent over ten years as a software engineer and architect at Rockwell Automation where he built products used today in critical infrastructure and manufacturing around the world.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2000.

While serving as a member of the Northern Ohio Board, Kevin has served as the Program Chair during a very challenging time as we worked the transition of providing virtual events to our members to returning to an in person event this past Spring. Kevin worked closely with Clayton to leverage our virtual platform to provide these events to our members. Clayton is currently employed at the

Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio as the Director of the Patient Access in ITD at Cleveland Clinic. In this role, he has the opportunity to lead a group of caregivers that span across nine Epic modules and a group of Custom Software developers.  Personally, Clayton has been happily married to his awesome wife Kayla for coming up on 10 years. They have a three-year-old son named Hudson and  a one year old daughter Kinsley.
