Get to Know the People
of Northern Ohio HIMSS

John is the CEO of CrewTracker Software LLC, a business operations management software for the Snow and Ice Management and Landscaping Industries.  John is also President of Paguar Informatics Inc., a healthcare consulting firm which provides consulting, innovation development, system integration, strategic planning, marketing analysis, and product & project management services.  Previously, John worked for HIMSS at the HIMSS Innovation Center in the Global Center for Health Innovation in downtime Cleveland, where he managed operations, cybersecurity, interoperability, analytics initiatives, logistics, and events.

John is on the Board of Directors for Lake Erie College and is the President of the Classic Thunderbird Club of Northern Ohio.  John is also a digital photographer and creates conceptual art, applying the use of artificial intelligence tools in the process.

Membership Update

The Northern Ohio Chapter of HIMSS is open to all persons interested in management systems, information systems and telecommunications as they apply in healthcare.  Our chapter currently has 1,132 active members who work in a variety of professional roles and organizations.

Approximately 70% of our membership is employed by an integrated health care system.  Examples of other worksites for our membership include, but are not limited to, academic education institutions, consulting firms, market suppliers and payers.

If one is currently employed by a HIMSS health system affiliate, they can join HIMSS free of charge.  Each health system affiliate has a designated contact typically in the information technology area who can provide the link to join HIMSS on behalf of the organization.

The Northern Ohio Chapter of HIMSS also offers a membership for students to receive similar benefits as regular members at a price designed for emerging healthcare leaders. Learn more via the links above.

Mark your calendar and save the date!  The Northern Ohio HIMSS 2024 Spring Conference will be on Wednesday June 5th in the greater Cleveland metro area.  This will be an all-day, in-person event where participants will have a chance to connect with others, talk with sponsors, and hear from leaders in our field.  More info coming soon!

Volunteers Need!

Northern Ohio HIMSS is looking for Health IT individuals who have an interest in volunteering and/or becoming a future Board Member. This year each of our Committee Chairs are looking for individuals to mentor and serve as a Committee members for future involvement within NOHIMSS. These committees include: Advocacy, Programs, Education, Marketing, Membership and Sponsorship. These roles would involve working directly with the committee chair to reach out to sponsors & future members, assist with the writing of our newsletter and social posts, take on responsibilities for our Fall and Spring Conferences.
